Patricia Chmura, M.Ed., LPCC-S

Location: Middleburg Heights Office, West Park Office, & Telehealth

Patricia (she/her) earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University and her Post-Masters in Marriage and Family from the University of Akron. She has also received her supervisor designation. Patricia provides both in-person and telehealth services. She specializes in the treatment of abuse and neglect, specifically sexual abuse.

Patricia previously worked in an incest treatment program where she treated survivors as well as adult and juvenile sex offenders within in individual, family, and group care. Currently, she uses these skills to support individuals through all types of trauma, both past and present, within a systems context.

She has pursued extensive training in trauma, utilizes EMDR-M, and facilitates cognitive trauma-focused interventions. An essential component of her work are somatic interventions, which are reflected in mindfulness, trauma-focused yoga, breathing techniques, and guided imagery.

About Patricia:

Patricia is passionate about gardening and recently became a Master Gardener with interests in vegetable gardening and native plants and pollinators. She loves cooking, canning, dehydrating, and making her own teas! Patricia is part of a community garden and have helped develop a pollinator garden for all to sit, smell, and watch the bees, butterflies, and birds.
