Pam Hiser
Pam (she/her) has been with Humanistic Counseling Center for 10 years. She is the heart and backbone of the invaluable work HCC does. She is grateful for the collaborative efforts between therapists and office staff to ensure that clients’ needs are served.
In her free time, Pam likes to spend time with her friends, family, and pets!

Sabrina DeMore
Sabrina (she/her) has been with Humanistic Counseling Center for 8 years. She loves working at HCC because of the personalized experiences offered to clients, therapists, and main office staff.
In her free time, Sabrina likes to go camping and see live music. She also enjoys spending time with her partner and two cats, Larry and Lola!
Assistant Director
Shannon (she/her) has been with Humanistic Counseling Center for nearly 13 years. Her favorite part of working at HCC are the close-knit relationships with her coworkers. It means a lot to Shannon to be a part of helping our community with mental health concerns.
In her free time, Shannon likes to spend time with her cat, Chloe. She also enjoys diamond painting and loves all things Disney. In fact, she is a Disney Travel Agent on the side!
CFOShannon Niksa
Jen (she/her) oversees the clinical operations at Humanistic Counseling Center to ensure compassionate and evidenced-based care. She also works as a supervisor at HCC and is a professor at Kent State University. Jen is passionate about investing in future and emerging therapists.
In her free time, she is working diligently to visit all of the national parks. Jen also enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs!

Clinical Recruiter and Trainer Rachel Scarponi
Rachel (she/her) is responsible for interviewing and onboarding new therapists. She also coordinates HCC’s internship opportunities.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two cats, two dogs, and abundance of chickens!
Mel (she/they) manages our social media presence and marketing efforts. She also works to establish relationships with the community and other practices to support client needs both within and beyond HCC.
In her free time, Mel is making a mess with her art supplies or cozying up with her favorite orange cat, Tuck!
